Kitsing red hot from the deep, Tartu wins at Zwolle



Kristjan Kitsing made six three pointers to lead Tartu Ülikool Maks&Moorits past Landstede Hammers, 97-78, on Tuesday, November 28, at the Landstede Sportcentrum in Zwolle, Netherlands.

Kristjan Kitsing was unstoppable from the three point line.

And from the charity stripe too...

Power forward had 15 points on 2/3 shooting from the deep and 9/10 from the free throw line in the first half.


Tartu big man hit four (!) three pointers the rest of the way to finish with 27 points.

Anatoliy Shundel added more fire power with 16 points.


Shooting guard went 6/8 from the field, including 4/6 from the three point line.


Mart Rosenthal pulled the strings.


He had 14 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

Joel Ekamba Ey`oombe scored 15 points for the Landstede Hammers.


Key stats

Tartu Ülikool went 16/30 from three point line, tying a second highest mark in the ENBL history.


The visitors never cooled down as they went 9/17 in the second half.

Kitsing did the biggest damage with four 3s after the break.

Landstede Hammers replied with a solid 9/23 effort but it simply wasn`t enough.


It was a big night as 11 (!) players – five from Tartu and six from Zwolle – finished in double figures.


Tartu outrebounded Zwolle, 36-27.

Four best teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs (A1-B4, A2-B3, A3-B2, A4-B1).


The 2024 playoffs – home and away, best-of-two series – will take place from February 1 until March 20.

The 2024 Final Four will take place on April 9-10.
