Fyllingen Lions: A New Chapter

This year marks an exciting new chapter for one of Norway's premier basketball clubs, as Fyllingen Basket rebrands itself as Fyllingen Lions. The decision to change the club's name reflects its rapid growth and ambition to professionalize further, a move seen as essential after the team’s remarkable victory in last season’s National Championship (BLNO menn).

Fyllingen’s recent success in Norwegian basketball has driven the club to pursue greater professionalism, both on and off the court. The rebranding to Fyllingen Lions is a symbol of this new era, as the club prepares to compete on an even larger stage—the European North Basketball League (ENBL).

This transformation has been made possible thanks to the support of two key sponsors: Louise Mohn and Gunnar Gran. Their generous contributions have enabled the club to undergo significant restructuring, bringing in more resources and expertise to solidify Fyllingen Lions' position as a leading force in Norwegian basketball.

Under the leadership of the newly appointed Chairman, Egil Kaberuka-Nilsen, Fyllingen Lions is focused on building for continued success. The club’s rebranding is just one of many exciting steps in its ongoing journey, with more developments expected as the team gears up for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

As reigning Norwegian Champions, Fyllingen Lions is not just changing its name but also its approach, aiming to set new standards in the sport. The Fyllingen Lions community is thrilled about the future and looks forward to showcasing their new identity in the ENBL.
