First business trip, first away win for first class Bamberg Baskets

Bamberg Baskets went on a 9-0 run late in the game to claim a 79-69 win over Bristol Flyers on Wednesday, October 16, at the soldout SGS College arena in southern England.

A former Dayton Flyer scored last nine Bamberg points against...the Bristol Flyers.


Atlanta, Georgia born swingman finished the game with 17 points on 6/11 shooting from the field and 3/4 from the free throw line.


Watson-Boye added a team high five assists.


In fact, every Bamberg starter dished out at least three assists – 20 in total.


Ronaldo Segu scored 15 points on excellent 7/13 shooting from the field.


The University of Buffalo standout added four rebounds and three steals.


KeyShawn Feazell, a 2024 ENBL finalist with CSO Voluntari, had 13 points.


A former Creighton big man shot 6/9 from the field and grabbed six rebounds.


Kendall Lewis was the top scorer for Bristol Flyers.


Illinois State University star dropped 16 points on amazing 6/7 shooting from the field and 3/4 from the charity stripe.


He filled the stat sheet with seven rebounds, three assists and – most amazing – six steals.


Trey Tennison joined with 15 points.


A recent Texas Christian University graduate went 6/13 inside the three point line but struggled from the deep.


Kedrian Johnson shined with 14 points and a game high seven assists.


Point guard represented West Virginia University during his college days.



Key stats

Bamberg Baskets focused on inside game in the first half and excelled in it.


Bavarians shot 16/23 inside the three point line, also thanks to excellent passing.


Bristol Flyers worked hard to stay in the game.


The hosts scored 13 points on fast breaks, while Kedrian Johnson and Kendall Lewis caused some trouble on the offensive end.


Bamberg went on a 13-6 run in the first five minutes of the second half to almost triple their lead, 54-43.


Bristol recovered and made it a one possession game, 70-67, with 03:24 left.


A couple of missed shots cost too much for the hosts as Bamberg went on a 9-0 run to retake a double digit lead, 79-67.



Game notes

Bamberg Baskets improved to 2-0, while Bristol Flyers dropped to 0-2.


Anton Gavel and his men are 5-1 in all competitions, including 3-1 in all German tournaments.


Bavarians are 1-0 in the ENBL road games.


Andreas Kapoulas and Bristol Flyers faced tough competition in their first two games – the 2024 ENBL champions Bakken Bears and then a team from mighty Bundesliga.
