Roger Grimau is the new head coach of Dinamo Bucharest. His ENBL debut is scheduled on Tuesday, November 12 when the Romanian club will host the Fyllingen Lions.
Grimau`s professional playing career covered almost 20 years – from 1996 until 2015.
Guard/forward played for Joventut Badalona (1996-1999), Lleida (1999-2003), FC Barcelona (2003-2011), Bilbao Basket (2011-2014) and Manresa (2014-2015).
After retirement Grimau worked as a head coach at the Liga EBA club JAC Sants.
On June 26, 2023, Grimau was appointed the head coach of FC Barcelona, replacing Šarūnas Jasikevičius.
Grimau won Euroleague title with Barcelona in 2010 at the Bercy arena in Paris, France.
He won three Liga Endesa | ACB league titles in 2004, 2009 and 2011.
Grimau added three Copa del Rey awards in 2007, 2010 and 2011.
He is also a three time SuperCopa winner in 2004, 2009 and 2010.
Grimau played at the EuroBasket 2003 final in Stockholm against Antanas Sireika led Lithuania squad and earned a silver medal.
New Bucharest Dinamo head coach has signed a three year contract.
