Dziki earn first European medal after a 22-6 comeback run

Dziki Warszawa finished their maiden Final Four on a 22-6 run and posted a 80-78 comeback win against Inter Bratislava to earn a historic bronze medal on Wednesday, April 9, at the Gopass arena in western Slovakia.

Alijah Comithier scored seven of his 20 points in the last 06.28 minutes.
With game being tied at 78, Emporia State star went to the charity stripe and sank both free throws to give Dziki a two point edge, 80-78, with 3.1 seconds left.
Comithier scored a game winning basket for the second time – he also made a series winner against Bamberg Baskets on March 19.
Jaroslaw Mokros also played a big role in Dziki comeback.
Forward completed and one play and hit a three pointer to cut Inter lead to five points, 69-74, with 04.21 left.
Mokros checked out with six points.
Mateusz Szlachetka had 15 points on 6/8 shooting from the field, coming off the bench.
Isaiah Cousins led Inter Bratislava with 25 points.
Three more Inter players finished in double figures.
Trent Buttrick had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Dontay Caruthers scored 12 points and dished out seven assists.
RJ Gunn had 10 points.
Key stats
Inter Bratislava allowed 68 points in the first half against CSO Voluntari.
It was a different story on Wednesday as the Yellow and Black allowed only 32 points against Dziki.
Both teams shot 20 percent from the three point line at the half – Dziki 3/15 and Inter 2/10).
Another strong start by Isaiah Cousins – 13 points halfway – combined with good post play by Buttrick and Szabo – secured a seven points lead, 32-39, at halftime.
Isaiah Cousins and RJ Gunn hit back-to-back three pointers to double Inter lead, 58-72, with 06.54. left.
It all went downhill for Bratislava team, as Dziki Warszawa finished the game on a 22-6 run.

Dziki Warszawa improved to 8-4, while Inter Bratislava dropped to 10-2.
Krzysztof Szablowski and his men earned first international medal in club history.
Dziki Warszawa became the fifth Polish team to reach the Final Four after Anwil Wloclawek, BM Stal Ostrow, Start Lublin and King Szczecin.
Wild gang posted biggest upset in the 2025 playoffs, eliminating Bamberg Baskets.
