Melvin scores 20 in second half, Start Lublin earn a big win at Ironi Ness Ziona


Polski Cukier Start Lublin outscored Ironi Ness Ziona from the three point line to post a 90-77 road win on Wednesday, March 8, at the Lev Hamoshava hall in Ness Ziona, Israel. The second game will be played on March 20 in Poland.

Cleveland Melvin is a prime example of that as he scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half.


Lublin`s forward made 7-of-8 field goals after the break, including a 4-of-5 salvo from the three point line.


Cleveland added two free throws, four rebounds and two blocked shots.


Dayshon Hassan Smith had amazing stat line.


American guard scored 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe.


Scoochie grabbed seven rebounds, dished out six assists, registered three steals, one block and seven forced fouls.


Troy Barnies had a hot hand as well.


Forward posted 11 points in the first half on 3-of-4 shooting from the deep.


Klāvs Čavars stepped up in the second half.


Latvian center had 12 points and eight rebounds.


Last but not least – Gave DeVoe posted 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.


Ironi Ness Ziona leaders also shined but this time it wasn`t enough.


Tyler Bey led all scorers with 28 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 13-of-15 from the free throw line.


Power forward forced 10 fouls and grabbed 11 rebounds.


Bey dropped 21 points in the first half.


D.J. Cooper registered a game high 11 assists.


Point guard added five points and four steals.


Shaq Buchanan and Jerome Meyinsse scored 15 and 14 points respectively.
