Basket Brno claim a big win at Dinamo Bucharest




Basket Brno led from start to finish and scored a 79-68 road win over Dinamo Bucharest on Tuesday, December 17, at the Sala Dinamo in the Romanian capital.


Players of the game

Four Brno starters and captain stood out with excellent performances.


Viktor Pulpan stepped up and scored seven of his nine points in the fourth quarter.


Point guard provoked two consecutive fouls and made four free throws to renew a double digit lead for the visitors.


He added three more points when it mattered.


Richard Balint scored 18 points on excellent 7/10 shooting from the field.


Czech international added five assists and two steals.


Jordan Brown led visitors with 19 points, nine rebounds and one block.


The University of Memphis graduate center provoked nine (!) fouls and went 9/10 from the free throw line.


Ethan Chargois had another amazing stat line.


The University of Oklahoma big man had 12 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals.


Last but not least, Petr Krivanek added eight valuable points from the bench.


Jakov Mustapič scored 22 points for Dinamo Bucharest.


His aggressiveness and shooting prowess – a 7/13 effort from the field – kept the hosts in the game.


Dalan Ancrum checked out with 10 points.



Key stats

Basket Brno took initiative in the paint and held Dinamo bigs to five points in the first half.


Jordan Brown rocked in the paint, while Richard Balint was shooting with a high accuracy.


The visitors added some easy points on fast breaks.


Basket Brno played even more aggressive offense in the second half.


The visitors went 23/28 from the free throw line in the last 20 minutes thanks to aggressiveness by Chargois, Brown and Pulpan.


Dinamo captain Stefan Grasu was fouled out.

Basket Brno improved to 2-2, while Dinamo Bucharest dropped to 1-4.


Basket Brno are 2-0 on the road after wins at Keila and Bucharest.


Martin Vanek and his men enjoy a four game winning streak, including two domestic wins against BK Opava.
