Bamberg Baskets back on track after a big win at Legia




Bamberg Baskets took control from the start and never trailed against Legia Warszawa to post a 87-73 win on Wednesday, December 11, at the Osir Bemowo hall in the Polish capital.

Filip Stanič dominated the paint in the first half.


Bamberg center finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds.


Three days ago Stanič posted another double-double against Euroleague side ALBA Berlin, helping the Bavarians to advance to the German Cup Top Four.


KeyShawn Feazell was another key contributor.


The 2024 ENBL finalist had 14 points on a perfect 4/4 finishing from the floor and equally perfect 6/6 from the free throw line.


Ronaldo Segu fueled offense with a game high nine assists.


The University of Buffalo point guard added 11 points.


Andrzej Pluta led Legia Warszawa with 17 points on 6/14 shooting from the field.


Guard didn`t missed when closer to the basket but struggled from the three point range.


Pluta contributed with four assists and three steals.


Ojārs Siliņš had 11 points on 3/6 shooting from the three point line.



Key stats

Bamberg Baskets outscored Legia Warszawa in the paint, 54-34, especially in the first half.


The visitors shot impressive 72 percent inside the three point line, 32/44.


Kyle Lofton and Ibrahim Watson-Boye added more fire power from the bench.


Bamberg bench outscored Legia, 49-23.


The Legionnaires fought hard and trailed only by seven points before the last 10 minutes, 65-58.


Bamberg went on another run to finish the job.



Game notes

Bamberg Baskets improved to 4-1, while Legia Warszawa dropped to 4-2.


The Bavarians posted two big wins in four days as they eliminated ALBA Berlin from the German Cup on December 8.


They are very close to the ENBL playoffs as well.


Another big game awaits in a week as Bamberg Baskets will host the 2024 ENBL champions, Bakken Bears, on December 18.


Legia defeated Bakken Bears, 88-79, but didn`t added another big scalp.
