Anwil make it rain at Šiauliai and hit century mark again


Anwil Wloclawek (5-0) made a record high 18 three pointers and took home a 100-77 win over Šiauliai-7bet (3-2) on Thursday, February 10, at the Šiauliai arena in northern Lithuania.


Players of the game

Kyndall Dykes led Anwil with 16 points on perfect 5-of-5 shooting from the field.


New Orleans star made 4-of-4 three point attempts and hit both free throws as well.


Dykes also shared the ball well and collected five assists.




Marcin Woroniecki had a great second half.


Young guard made 4-of-5 three pointers after the break and finished with 14 points.


Woroniecki averaged 15 points at Šiauliai.


Lukasz Frackiewicz offered another boost from the bench, as he scored eight of his 10 points in the second half.


Last but not least – Sebastian Kowalczyk had six points, a team high seven assists and two steals in a nice cameo effort.



Paulius Danusevicius led Šiauliai with 16 points and seven rebounds.


Donatas Sabeckis scored 11 points.


Jon Elmore added seven points and six assists for the home team.



Key stats

The Rottweilers made 17 three pointers on Wednesday against Liepāja.


They took it one step further on Thursday and connected 18 field goal attempts from deep.


Second half shootout was especially impressive as they made 10-of-14 three point shots!


Dykes and Woroniecki did the most of the damage as they combined for 6-of-7 shooting after the break.


Šiauliai struggled from the three point line (7-of-29).




Anwil averaged 17,5 three pointers and 108 points at Šiauliai.


Six Wloclawek players – Petrasek, Dimec, Bell, Dykes, Frackiewicz and Woroniecki – finished in double figures.


Anwil bench outscored Šiauliai 60-38.



Game notes

Anwil improved to 5-0.


Šiauliai had a 13 days break last month (January 18-31) and is 1-3 since then.


Antanas Sireika`s team suffered two losses at Pasvale (90-108) on January 31 and Panevežys (76-87) on February 5.
