Eighteen teams from 12 countries will compete for the 2025 European North basketball league`s title.
The field includes both 2024 finalists, five playoff participants – Bakken Bears, CSO Voluntari, Newcastle Eagles, Tartu Ulikool Maks&Moorits, Bristol Flyers – and nine new teams.
Teams were split in two groups of nine, taking into account the following principles:
1) Team positions in the ENBL 2023-2024 season;
2) Geographic limitations – no more than 1 team from each country in the group;
3) Subjective opinion to make groups as equal as possible.
As a result, every group features nine teams from nine countries.
The 2024 ENBL finalists CSO Voluntari were selected in Group A together with teams from Czechia, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Estonia and Latvia.
Reigning champions Bakken Bears Aarhus were selected in Group B together with teams from Germany, Czechia, United Kingdom, Romania, Norway, Slovakia, Estonia and Poland.
